Danza Guadalupana

A personal journey of auto ethnographic inquiries on my Mexican-American family’s cultural dance legacy, Danza Guadalupana. Based on my grandfather’s spiritual manda, (a vow made to the Virgin of Guadalupe to intercede before God for a miracle that helps a loved one to regain health) he pledged to create a dance group composed of his seven sons in 1979 while my grandmother was very ill.
